What Is The Idlh For Hydrogen Sulfide

The immediate life and health-threatening concentration (IDLH) of hydrogen sulfide refers to the immediate or delayed threat to life at this concentration, or can cause permanent health damage, or affect the evacuation of personnel from dangerous areas in an unprotected state. The IDLH value of hydrogen sulfide is usually set at 100 ppm. When exposed to this concentration, the human body may quickly develop serious poisoning symptoms, such as respiratory center paralysis, which seriously endanger life and health.

In actual operation scenarios, once the concentration of hydrogen sulfide in the environment approaches or reaches this IDLH value, operators must immediately take effective protective measures, such as wearing professional gas masks, to ensure their own safety and avoid being poisoned by hydrogen sulfide. At the same time, they should evacuate to a safe area as soon as possible to prevent poisoning accidents.
